Michelle Grimes performs on TV3’s Ireland’s Got Talent this Saturday
FORMER girlband member Michelle Grimes from Limerick is hoping to wow the judges on Ireland’s Got Talent this weekend.
The 22-year-old University of Limerick student, formerly of Office Girls, who made it to the bootcamp stages of X-Factor in 2016, appears on the TV3 talent search show this Saturday night.
The Limerick woman, currently in final year performing arts at UL who sings at night in Bunratty, will perform Lady GaGa’s A Million Reasons on the show in an attempt to catch the judges’ eye.
Michelle took a break from UL to go to the UK in 2015 having answered an advert for a girl band and joined Office Girls. She spent a year living in the UK touring and trying to get the band off the ground – including an appearance on X-Factor, when Simon Cowell remarked on her singing voice.
She says she “cannot wait to perform at the audition” and wonders if Louis will remember her from X-Factor. She says “performing is the best feeling ever” and sang in front of 20,000 people at London Pride while with Office Girls.
Michelle has also performed for the king and queen of Belgium and as a backing singer for Hermitage Green and says “she loves her job, she gets paid to sing and that’s all she wants to do”.
Episode four of Ireland’s Got Talent also features rappers, musicians and the first animal acts to grace the show. Tune in at 7.30pm on Saturday on TV3.
