Limerick road closed due to flooding

The Rosbrien Road has been flooded on occasion previously

THE Rosbrien Road, near Old Crescent RFC in Dooradoyle is closed this evening due to flooding.

It comes with rainfall constant in the city throughout this Sunday.

Elsewhere, the Limerick Road outside Newport is also closed due to flooding. It's anticipated it will stay closed overnight.

Separately, a collision at the Ballinacurra Road flyover inbound to the city caused a delay to traffic at approximately 5pm today.

The road was subsequently cleared.

Meanwhile, Limerick City Fire and Rescue Service crews are en-route to a flooding incident in Annacotty.

It follows a report of a car stuck in flood water in the area.
