HEAVY rainfall overnight and this morning has caused localised flooding across Limerick this Sunday.
Limerick City and County Council is reporting that its crews are dealing with flooding in Doon, with significant volumes of water flowing down from surrounding hills.
Crews are also monitoring levels of water in Cappamore and the Mulcair River at Annacotty.

Drivers are also being reminded to proceed with caution, with roads around Gilmartin Park in Murroe, and the N21 in Adare near Doherty’s Garage having particularly large volumes of water.
Over in Clare, Gardaí are reporting flooding on the Killaloe/Tuamgraney Rd (R463) between the two towns, with drivers asked to use an alternative route.
Additionally, it's also being reported that the Newport/Limerick road, the R503 is closed due to flooding between Newport and the M7 at Junction 28.
