Water supply affected in County Limerick town by burst main

Irish Water has advised of issues in Kilmallock and certain parts of the city

REPAIRS to a burst water main in a County Limerick town is causing issues with supply, Irish Water has said, while there are also issues in the city.

Residents in Kilmallock are reporting issues this Thursday morning.

Irish Water advised late on Wednesday night that "repairs to a burst water main may affect supply to Kilmallock and surrounds".

Irish Water has advised this Thursday morning that "valve installation works may affect supply to Georgian Villas, Old Cork Road, Limerick City and surrounds until 2pm today".

It also said "mains repair works may cause supply disruptions to Dock Road and surrounding areas". These works are due to be completed this morning and are also taking place on the Ennis Road.

Works are scheduled to take place from 7am until 6pm and may cause supply disruptions to Donoughmore Crescent and surrounding areas until 6pm this Thursday.

"Valve installation works may cause supply disruptions to Georgian Villas, Old Cork Road and surrounding areas in Limerick City. Works have an estimated completion time of 2pm on November 23."
