CAOIMHE Costelloe, who captained Limerick’s senior camogie side in 2025, will not be part of the Shannonsiders’ 2026 squad as she spends the coming months volunteering at the Cheshire Home for Children with Special Needs in Western Zambia.

Limerick camogie manager David Deady confirmed the news this afternoon to Leader Sport. "It’s real measure of the woman and the role model she is to all young girls in Limerick. We wish her every good luck in her volunteer work and we look forward to having her back involved again in 2027," said David Deady.

The Adare clubwoman joined the Limerick senior camogie panel in 2013 and has been an ever-present member of the county set-up for the past 13 years. Just 18 at the time, she was also part of the Limerick squads that captured both the All-Ireland minor and intermediate camogie titles in 2014.
