County Limerick cafe re-opens as Closure Order is lifted

A COUNTY Limerick cafe and restaurant has re-opened after a Closure Order was lifted by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI).

The order, under the provisions of the EC (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations 2010, was served on the proprietor of Ali Baba, Bank Place, Rathkeale on December 8, last after environmental health officers with the Health Service Executive conducted an inspection.

The order was lifted the following day after all matters were rectified. The premises has been trading as normal since.

The FSAI has not disclosed the specific reasons as to why the premises was ordered to close.
