Investigations underway following death of pensioner on Limerick – Tipperary border

Gardai and the HSA are investigating the circumstances of the man's death

A NUMBER of investigations are underway after a pensioner died in an accident at his home on the Limerick – Tipperary border.

It is understood the man, whose aged in his early 70s, died after a 4x4 vehicle on which he was working fell on top of him.

The alarm was raised at around 4pm yesterday after a neighbour discovered the man’s body at the property which is located at Ballybrenogue, Cullen.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted at University Hospital Waterford.

Gardai from Tipperary Town and investigators from the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) are investigating the circumstances of the man’s death.
