Recent deaths in Limerick

The death has occurred of Sean (John) McInerney, Ballinacourty, Lisnagry, Co. Limerick and formerly of Summerhill, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, on November 2nd 2016, peacefully at his home.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Mairead (Maddy), daughters Shauna and Fionnuala, son Liam, sons-in-law, grandchildren Fionn and Ruby, brother Micheál, sisters Marie, Treasa and Mairead, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Meehan's funeral home, Castleconnell, this Friday evening, 4th November, from 6pm with removal at 8pm to St. Joseph's Church, Castleconnell. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11.30am, with burial afterwards in Lisbony Cemetery, Nenagh. Family flowers only, please.


The death has occurred of John Kildunne, Clash Road, Abbeyfeale, Limerick and Clogheen, Cork, on October 30th, 2016, at his residence.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Julia (née O’Sullivan), sons Paul and John, daughter Maria, grandchildren, all his other relatives and friends.

Funeral arriving at St. Michael’s Church, Cahermore on Thursday at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.


Peter Stewart Atherden, Ballynanty, Limerick, late of Bristol, UK, passed away peacefully at Milford Care Centre.

Deeply regretted by his cousins Molly & Denise, friends in Ireland, Bristol and Thomond House.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Friday, November 4th, from 4pm to 5pm. Private Cremation later.


The death has occurred of Bridget Nolan (née Neville), of Morgans South, Askeaton, Limerick, on November 2, 2016, peacefully, at University Hospital, Limerick.

Beloved wife of the late Jimmy; sadly missed by her loving son Mike, daughter Annette, sisters, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Downey's Funeral Home, Pallaskenry tomorrow, Friday, from 6pm to 8pm followed by removal to Robertstown Church. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Reilig Mhuire, Askeaton.

Mother of the late David and William. Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home on Sunday from 5.30pm, followed by removal at 7pm to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am. Burial afterwards at Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.


The death has occurred of John (Johnny) Cussen, 'Ard Aoibhin', Mount Plummer, Broadford, Limerick, peacefully at his residence.

Husband of the late Nora Jones, loving father of Laurence, Ann, Aileen and Philip. Sadly missed by his sons, daughters, son-in-law Ian, daughters-in-law Julie and Ann, grandchildren Kira, Luke, Isabella, Daniel-John, Grace, Fionn and Fia, brother Laurence and sister Mary Savage, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Sexton's Funeral Home, Broadford on Friday from 6pm with removal at 8pm to Our Lady of the Snows Church, Broadford. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12.30pm. Burial afterwards in Springfield Cemetery.
