Recent deaths in Limerick

The death has occurred of Patrick Geoghegan, 'Paty the Yank', of Turraree, Glin, Limerick, peacefully in the loving care of St. Ita's Hospital, Newcastle West on October 21, 2016 in his 94th year.

Predeceased by his late brother Danny and sister Kathleen (Scanlon). Will be sadly missed by his sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Healy's Funeral Home, Glin, Wednesday from 6pm with removal at 8pm to The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glin. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon followed by burial in Kilfergus Cemetery, Glin. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to St. Camillus Ward, St. Ita's Hospital, Newcastlewest.

 

The death has occurred of Paul Tudorovici, Old Road, Knocklong, Limerick.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Elena, daughters Elena, Michaela and Corina, sisters, sons-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Fraser's Funeral Home, Galbally, Co. Limerick Monday evening from 6pm to 7pm. Remains arriving at Knocklong Church at 7.45pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Knocklong Cemetery.

 

The death has occurred of Noel Quirke, of Athlunkard Close, Shannon Banks, Corbally, Limerick. Late of Dell.

Survived by his wife Marie, children Jennifer, David and Alan, daughters-in-law Tracey and Christine, son-in-law Nick, grandchildren Holly, James, Rian, Mia, Matthew and Robyn, all other relatives and friends.

Reposing on Monday at Cross's Funeral Home from 5.30pm to 7pm, followed by removal to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Janesboro. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11.30am, followed by cremation at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co Cork.

 

The death has occurred of John Flynn, of Roche’s Road, Rathkeale, Limerick.

Survived by his wife Mary, sons and daughters, all other relatives and friends.

Reposing on Monday at Cross’ Funeral Home from 2pm to 4pm with removal to St. Mary’s Church, Rathkeale. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11.30am. followed by burial afterwards in New Cemetery, Rathkeale.

 

The death has occurred of Patrick Carroll, of Knockroe, Kildimo, Limerick. Formerly of Ready-Mix Ltd.

Survived by his wife Birdy, sons, daughters, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother, brother in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. 

Reposing at his residence on Sunday evening from 4 to 8pm with removal on Monday morning to St Joseph's Church, Kildimo, for 12 noon requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in Kildimo Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Milford Care Centre.

 

The death has occurred of Daniel Brazil, Cappamore, Limerick. Peacefully, in the loving care of the Management & Staff of Roseville House Nursing Home.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, brother Thomas, sisters Margaret, Bridget, Josie and Mary-Eithne, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, all other relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Philomena (Phil) Sheehy (née Carroll), of Springmount, Ballingarry, Rathkeale, Limerick, peacefully in the wonderful care of Bluebell Unit, St. Ita's Hospital, Newcastle West.

Beloved wife of the late Bernard. Deeply regretted by her sons Harry and Patrick, daughters Eileen Enright, Dublin and Mary Barrett, Ardagh, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother Jerry, sister Sheila O'Connell, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

Reposing at O'Grady's Funeral Home, Ballingarry, on Monday, October 24, from 6pm until 8pm arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, October 25th, at 12 o'clock. Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Old Cemetery, Rathkeale.

 

The death has occurred of Bridget Dillane (née Carr), of Kinnard Cross, Glin, Limerick and formerly Aughrim, Moyvane, Co Kerry, October 23, 2016, peacefully at home with her husband Jimmy and family.

Will be sadly missed by her husband Jimmy, son Michael, daughters Ellen (Templeglantine), Maria (Abbeyfeale), and Bridget (Ballyhahill); sister Julia, daughter-in-law Anne, sons-in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

The death has occurred of Kathleen (Kathy) Cleary (née Hickey) of Baggotstown, Bruff, Limerick, on 22nd October 2016.

Predeceased by her husband Denis. Sadly missed by her daughters Mary, Breda and Anne, sons John, Martin, Donncha and Gerard, brother Billy and sister Maisie, sisters-in-law Mary and Esther, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law,nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. 

Reposing at O'Leary's Funeral Home, Hospital, Co. Limerick from 4.30pm on Monday with removal at 7.30pm to St. Mary's Church, Knockainey. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
