Recent deaths in Limerick

The death has occurred of Adrian Anglim of Castle Park, Dooradoyle (late of Sarsfield Barracks)

Beloved husband of Pauline and dearly loved father of Janet. David, Bronwyn, Ruth, Adrian, Lydia and Laura.

Sadly missed by his loving sons-in-law John and Bart, grandchildren, brother Richard, sisters Mary, Helen and Anna, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to St Paul’s Church, Dooradoyle.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am with burial afterwards in Castlemungret Cemetery.


The death has occurred of Josephine Hannon (née Keane) of Avondale Court, Corbally, (late of Flagmount, Clare).

Beloved wife of the late Thomas; deeply regretted by her daughter Mary, and by Johannes, twin sister Mary (Kelly) Caher, sisters-in-law Bridie and Lily, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Loughnanes Funeral Home, Feakle this Tuesday evening, from 6 o’clock with removal at 7.30pm to St Mary's Church, Flagmount.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Feakle Cemetery.


The death has occurred of Tom Dunne (peacefully at Milford Care Centre) of Capparoe, Adare, (late of Limerick city).

Very deeply regretted by his partner Carol, brothers Pat, Tony and Johnnie, sisters Mary and Marion, nephews, nieces, in-laws, family circle and a large circle of friends.

Reposing on Tuesday at Daffy's Funeral Home, Croom from 6pm to 7.30pm. Arriving on Wednesday for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Holy Trinity Church, Adare.

Private Cremation later. No flowers please. Donations in lieu to Milford Care Centre.


The death has occurred (peacefully) of Jack O’Connor of  St Michael's Nursing Home, Caherconlish (Formerly of Wellesley Court, Clancy Strand, Limerick, Late of Aer Lingus).

Beloved husband of the late Moira. Brother of the late George, Al and Maureen. Sadly missed by his loving brother Donie, sister Phil (O’ Brien), sister-in-law Mary, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great grandnephews, great grandnieces, cousins, extended family and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street this Tuesday evening from 7pm to 8pm. Removal to St Munchin’s Church on Wednesday for Requiem Mass at 10am with burial afterwards to Mount St Oliver Cemetery.


The death has occurred of Bridie Riordan (peacefully in the loving care of the Management & Staff of St. Michael's, Nursing Home) of Killeagh, Caherconlish. 

Deeply regretted by her loving family, sisters Margaret (Mc Cormack) & Ellen (Saunders), brothers Michael & Christy (UK), nieces, nephews, all other relatives & friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Ballyneety from 5pm on Wednesday followed by removal at 7pm to Archbishop O'Hurley Memorial Church, Caherline.

Requiem Mass Thursday, October 20 at 11.30am followed by burial in Hospital Cemetery.


The death has occurred of Willie Mortell, Blenheim Heights, Waterford City, formerly of Bruff.

Beloved husband of Margaret and loving father of John and Liam. Sadly missed by his family,sister Nancy, niece and nephews relatives and friends. 

Reposing at his residence on Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm. Remains arriving to St.Mary's Church Ballygunner on Wednesday at 11.45am for Requiem Mass at 12noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.


THE death has occurred of Eileen Barry, Knockatanna, Caherconlish, in her 105th year in the exceptional care of her Roseville Nursing Home family.

Deep gratitude for a wonderful aunt, from nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday at Our Lady Mother of the Church, Caherconlish at 11.30am followed by burial in Rockstown Cemetery.
