LSAD has drawn some tremendous praise from Vogue Italia for its recent show
LIMERICK School of Art and Design's latest graduate fashion show has received high praise from Italian Vogue for its "creativity and originality".
Vogue Italia features the recent show on its website, lauding LSAD – and its students – which is considered to be among the top 50 fashion schools in the world.
Vogue Italia said LSAD "excels in the encouragement of creativity and originality”, running 19 photos in an online gallery of the fashion show.
LSAD16, featuring the work of final year graduates from across the disciplines of painting, photography and lens based media, printmaking and contemporary practice, sculpture and combined media, animation and motion design, ceramics, fashion and visual communications, finished last week in the Clare Street campus.
James Greenslade, head of school at LSAD, said "the show focuses on creativity, illustrating the mix of experimentation, process-driven enquiry and the revolutionary outcomes that can happen when you mix together students from the diverse backgrounds of Fine Art and Design.
"We salute the achievements of this year’s graduating class and we hope that you can attend to celebrate the enthusiasm and creativity that they have shown over their time as undergraduate students," he said in advance of it.
He added that LSAD has existed since 1852 as a "wonderful, unpredictable and innovative place to nurture and develop nascent artists and designers".
