LIMERICK City Community Radio (LCCR) returned to the airwaves over the weekend.
It came after being told by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland that it had secured another 100-day pilot sound broadcasting licence.
This became active on Saturday, January 17 last.
Based at Tait Court community centre, on the site of the former clothing factory at Lord Edward Street, LCCR is the city’s first and only non-profit community station.
It is run on a completely voluntary basis.

LCCR’s team said they are delighted with the announcement and look forward to “entertaining and informing the Limerick listeners once again in 2026.”
Each weekend, the station is available by tuning into 92FM.
On top of this, from Monday to Friday, it is streamed online - at lccr.ie - with live programmes each day between 8am and 6pm.
