BREAKING: Woman hospitalised following collision in Limerick city

Emergency services at the scene of this morning's collision

EMERGENCY services have responded to a collision in Limerick city centre this Tuesday morning.

The two-car collision occurred on the junction of William Street and Gerald Griffin Street shortly before 8am.

A garda spokesperson stated that a "woman in her 20s was taken to University Hospital Limerick as a precaution".

Gardaí have confirmed to Limerick Live that "investigations are ongoing".

Gardaí, Limerick Fire and Rescue Service, and ambulance services attended the scene.

Limerick Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three units responded, and returned at 8:44am. The scene has since been cleared.

Traffic delays are expected in Limerick city this morning as a result of the collision.
