AN EFFIN NATIVE is representing Limerick at this year's annual Mr Personality Festival.
Stephen O’Keeffe, 33, is an active member of Crecora, Manister, Croom (CMC) Macra na Feirme, and was previously awarded the Stephen Cullinane Scholarship in 2017.
The event, which is organised by Kilkenny County Macra na Feirme, takes place on April 5 and April 6, at the Talbot Hotel in Clonmel.
The festival has been sponsored by Kilkenny, Carlow and District Farm Relief Services.
Stephen, whose hobbies and interests include, going for hill walks, cycling and tag rugby, believes he will be a good representative for Limerick because he wants to “give back to his club and county for all they have done for him over the past ten years.
“I would not be one to blow my own horn in this way, but I am just trying to give people the same experience that Macra has given me - community, opportunities, and more laughter than one could have in a lifetime,” said Stephen.
The Effin native will have a jam-packed weekend ahead of him, with contestants arriving on Friday, April 5, for their first group activity of the weekend.
On their arrival back to the hotel, the on-stage interviews will kick off.
This will be followed by music till late.
Stephen will have an early start on Saturday as he takes on private interviews with the contest’s judges.
