TWO Tipperary Town brothers charged with assault causing harm have been refused bail by Judge Adrian Harris at Nenagh District Court.

Michael O'Dwyer, 31, and his brother Joey, 27,  both of 52 James Connolly Park, Tipperary Town, were before the court this Thursday charged with assault on John O'Connor at Greenane Drive, Tipperary Town, on February 13, 2024.

They are both also charged with production of an article under Section 11 of the Firearms Act on the same date.

Det Sgt Kieran Keane, Tipperary Town garda Station, gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution and outlined garda objections to bail.

A bail application was made on behalf of both accused by Donal Cronin, BL, instructed by Philip Meagher, Solicitor.

Judge Harris refused the bail applications and remanded both defendants to Nenagh District Court on February 22, 2024.
