Two motorway accidents spark delays in Limerick

Two accidents on the M7 in Limerick have sparked traffic delays

TWO separate collisions have sparked delays at the M7 near its junction on Limerick's southside.

Emergency services are at the scene of the incidents between junction 29 and 30 of the Limerick to Dublin motorway.

Junction 30 connects to the M20/N18 Rosbrien Interchange near Southill, while junction 29 links to the N24 Ballysimon Road.

One collision took place on the northbound side, the other on the southbound side.

Limerick Fire and Rescue Service has sent four appliances to the scene.

There have been reports of heavy traffic tailbacks, with one driver reporting they had been stuck for an hour in queues.
