The annual event will see over 25 local groups, clubs, and organisations gather to showcase the diverse range of activities and opportunities available to residents of Castleconnell, Ahane, and Montpelier.
Cate O’Connor, member of Castleconnell Action Network (CAN), said the expo is a fantastic opportunity for residents - both long-time and new - to explore the heart of their community.
Attendees can connect directly with representatives from a wide array of groups, ranging from sports clubs to social and cultural organisations.
“It's the perfect chance to learn what's happening locally, sign up for new activities, and discover how to get more involved in community life.
“The event promises to be an engaging display of local spirit, featuring interactive displays, informative presentations, and potentially demonstrations that highlight the dedication and passion of Castleconnell's local groups,” said Ms O’Connor.
To add to the atmosphere, the day will include fun elements for all ages, such as colouring competitions for children and exciting raffles with great prizes.
“We are really looking forward to the upcoming expo. It's a wonderful platform for our local groups to connect with the community and for residents to see the incredible breadth of activities available right on their doorstep.
“We encourage everyone to come out and support the strength and diversity of what Castleconnell has to offer,” said Ms O’Connor.
The organisers extend their thanks in advance to all the participating groups for their time and effort. The event is hosted with the support of the Castleconnell Action Network (CAN), ACM, the Castleconnell Parish Hall team, Love Castleconnell, and Ballyhoura Development.
The community expo serves a vital role by providing a central location for local groups to meet potential new members and for residents to foster a stronger sense of belonging and community participation.
All are welcome to attend.
