The Richard Harris Film Festival will take place from Wednesday, October 25 to Monday, October 30
RICHARD Harris International Film Festival will return for its 11th edition this October and screen an eclectic collection of features.
World premieres and exclusive theatrical screenings will make up this year’s festival. With a “strong and eclectic programme of features and short films”, the Richard Harris film festival will be on from October 25 to 30.
In association with Sky Cinema, the festival will open with the Morgan Freeman vehicle, the thriller 57 Seconds. The next day will be the international premiere of David Duchovny’s Bucky F*****G Dent.
Elizabeth Hurley’s The Piper will chill audiences on October 27, after the European premiere of the psychological thriller Bibi.
Saturday, October 28 will be a jam-packed day, with the highlights including the Oscar nominated female-driven project, Tell It Like A Woman, which features Eva Longoria and Jennifer Hudson, as well as the Irish premiere of La Palisiada from Ukraine.
The Mid-West premiere of the documentary, The Eastern Front, will also take place on the Saturday.
For the younger cinemagoers, the festival will be hosting an exclusive theatrical screening of Artemis Fowl.
The Red-Carpet Awards show will take place in Thomond Park prior to the festival.
Festival Director, Zeb Moore, said: “The programme we have curated for 2023 contains something for everyone. We are very excited to have so many world and international premieres to give local audiences the first look at a diverse range of features and shorts from all over the world. We believe we have one of the most exciting programmes of any of our peers this autumn.”
Festival Chair, Rob Gill, added: “We would like to thank our partners at Disney, Sky Cinema, 101 Films and Mandalay Sports Media, as well as our programmers. We are also hoping that all eyes will be on Paris on the 28, so we have arranged a Rugby World Cup Watch party with some special guests in attendance.”
