Liam Hession, who hails from Roscommon, takes over from Denis Herlihy
THE Limerick operation of the accountancy and audit firm BDO has a new managing partner.
Liam Hession takes up the role at the company which is located at O'Connell Street in the city centre, and has pledged to maintain the growth of the firm.
At present, around 120 people are employed by BDO in Limerick.
Mr Hession, who hails from Roscommon, takes over from Denis Herlihy who will now concentrate on his role as BDO taxation partner, with oversight for its payroll, forensics and recruitment.
He said: “I’ve spent many great years here and, indeed, started my career here as a trainee in BDO so to become managing partner of such a great firm with so many talented people working here and a great culture into the bargain is, indeed, a privilege.”
Denis Herlihy had been in the role for 14 years.
