The Polish Arts Festival kicks off next week and runs from September 14 -17 in the Lime Tree Theatre.
This unique festival is a perfect combination of Irish and Polish culture, fostering understanding, recognition, belonging and friendship.
As every year, there will be support of local artists and promote young talents, but there will be no shortage of exciting icing on the cake in the form of an international presentation!
The theme of this year’s festival is embracing the elements, in these uncertain times of war and conflict in Europe, the climate crisis and the raging elements it will reflect on our attitude to the world, life, nature and human impact on the changes we experience both in the political and climate-related context.
They are asking questions and encouraging reflection and support connection and intercultural understanding.
They encourage writing new stories, painting new pictures and singing new songs.
You can expect art exhibitions, music, performance art and much more.
Admission to many festival events will be free, so bring friends, family and colleagues to join in the festivities and experience the magic of Polish and Slavic culture right here in Limerick.
