'Candlelight' concerts to bring magical Coldplay show to Limerick

Candlelight concerts take place all over the globe

A SERIES of Candlelight concerts will bring a magical live musical experience to Limerick this winter - including a Coldplay tribute.

The famous concerts will bring a multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations like never seen before in Limerick, under the gentle glow of candlelight.

Three concerts will take place at Saint Mary’s Cathedral in November and December.

The first concert will feature Vivaldi’s Four Seasons on November 17, with two performances to take place - one at 7pm and the other at 9pm.

‘Candlelight: A Tribute to Coldplay’ will take place the next day, on November 18 at both 7pm and 9pm. The ensemble will perform songs such as Fix You, Yellow and Viva la Vida.

The last concert will take place on December 9 and will see ‘Hans Zimmer’s Best Works’ brought to life.

The string quarter performing has yet to be announced.

The performances will last for 60 minutes and seating is assigned on a first come, first served basis.

The venue is accessible by wheelchair.
