Rose of Tralee running order has been revealed

Two ladies with Limerick connections to take to the Rose of Tralee stage

Róisín Wiley is the New York Rose and Molli-Ann O'Halloran is the Limerick Rose

THE Running Order for the 2023 Rose of Tralee International Festival TV Selection has been unveiled.

The 32 International Roses will be appearing across Monday and Tuesday night from the Rose of Tralee International Festival Rose Selection, live from Kerry Sports Academy at MTU.

Limerick Rose, Molli Ann O’Halloran, will take to the stage tonight and will be the seventh contestant to join Daithí Ó Sé and Kathryn Thomas.

The other Limerick connection is New York rose, Róisín Wiley, whose parents hail from Kilmallock and Templeglantine. She will grace our TV screens on Tuesday night.

Molli Ann is a 19-year-old student in the University of Limerick studying a BA in Voice.

Ahead of the live shows Molli Ann revealed: “I am so excited, a little bit nervous but really excited”.

Born and reared in Yonkers, with a year spent living in Patrickswell, the New York Rose was familiar with the Irish competition before entering.

"It's been a bit surreal, it wasn't always part of the plan, I'd always known about the Rose of Tralee and always spoken about it in my family but I never actually thought that it would be something that I would go for or even wear the sash but in New York I saw the applications on social media and I said I'd give it a shot and the rest is history," she told the Limerick Leader/ Limerick Live.

Both roses were in Limerick City on Friday before departing for Tralee as part of the official rose tour.

The Rose of Tralee International Festival will be shown on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player tonight and tomorrow night from 8pm.
