Limerick gardai hunt gang members who went on 'petrol station crime spree' in two counties

All of the incidents happened on the same night

AN ORGANISED crime gang targeted three petrol stations in Limerick and Tipperary in one night, gardai have confirmed.

The three burglaries occurred at commercial premises in Caherline, Old Pallas and Monard in the early hours of Thursday, July 20.

There were no items reported stolen in the burglary in Caherline.

"Investigations are ongoing," said a garda spokesperson.

It is the second time that petrol station, located on the R513 Limerick to Mitchelstown road, has been hit in two months. It only reopened in the middle of May much to the delight of locals. On both occasions the criminals left empty-handed.

Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred at a commercial premises in Old Pallas at approximately 2.20am 

"There were a number of items reported as stolen. Investigations are ongoing," said a garda spokesperson.

Lastly, a garda spokesperson said cash and a number items were reported as stolen from a commercial premises in Monard, County Tipperary. 

Anybody who may have been driving in east Limerick in the early hours of Thursday, July 20, and who may have witnessed a vehicle being driven in a suspicious manner is asked to contact their local garda station.
