LIMERICK City and County Council has indicated a new end date for the €9.1m revitalisation of O'Connell Street.
Works to part-pedestrianise the city's main thoroughfare were expected to finish at the end of May or the start of June.
But with the first of the month today, the local authority has said work will take a further fortnight to complete.
A statement from the local authority read: "Works on O’Connell Street to the remaining areas will be completed by mid-June. Localised snagging work will take place as needed thereafter."
Since builders picked up tools to work on the redevelopment in April 2021, the project has been beset by delays.
Initially due to complete in September last year, this date was then pushed out to November 2022.
A further delay to the revitalisation works in O'Connell Street has been revealed.

With the realisation it would not be ready in time for Christmas, workmen moved off site for the month of December to allow more free-flowing traffic in the city.
Contractors were expected to hand the site back to the council early in the New Year.
This didn't happen, with a March completion date indicated.
This was followed by the last target date of the end of last month.
Now, it will be mid-June.
