Woman has phone stolen while walking in Limerick city

A YOUNG woman in her 20s had her phone stolen from her back pocket while walking through Limerick city. 

The woman was walking around the city on Wednesday, April 5 between 6:30pm and 8pm when the phone was taken from the pocket of her jeans. 

Sergeant Ber Leetch, Crime Prevention Officer at Henry Street Garda Station gave some advice to people to help them avoid becoming victims of such crimes. 

"Criminals are very quick, she did not realise that her phone had been taken, she felt nothing.

"I have always said to keep your personal property on your person but this means in a zipped pocket or in your front pockets."
