A LIMERICK TD has said he is "100% fine" after experiencing a health scare.

Richard O'Donoghue TD took to social media to update his constituents after he "got a fright."

"I've been warned for a while, didn't listen to the warnings to slow down. Our calendar is absolutely off the wall," explained Mr O'Donoghue.

"After getting this fright I will be pulling back a small bit. The work will still be done 100% but I'll be delegating a little bit more."

The local TD added that he want to make sure he's around for his family, his grandchildren and to represent the people of Limerick.

"I won't be attending as many of the functions that I'm invited to and I hope people understand that and I apologise for that but I'll go to as many as I can," said Mr O'Donoghue.

"I'll be back in the next couple of days and I'll be doing what I can do but I will be delegating a little bit more but the work will still be done."
