Some of the best photos as football Feile comes to Limerick
28 Jun 2016 11:21 AM
FEILE Peil na nOg was a resounding success last weekend across Limerick, Kerry and Cork. From Monaleen to Monagea and from St Ailbes to St Senans, there were 21 Limerick clubs involved in the national U-14 festival of Gaelic Football from Friday to Sunday. On top of the hectic schedule of games, Newcastle West hosted one of the nine Feile parades on Saturday evening amid much colour, excitement and music. Mungret St Pauls ladies football side returned success to Limerick. They were winners in the Division 3 Shield Final. Their final opponents in Mick Neville Park in Rathkeale on Sunday were actually fellow Limerick outfit St Ailbes.
- These photos were taken by Marie Keating and you will see more in our weekend print edition which will be in the shops on Thursday.
