With Claughaun already securing the Division 3 title, Monaleen and St Kieran's won the Division1 and 2 titles on Monday night

Limerick representatives confirmed for Féile Peil after local finals

The Monaleen U15 team who won the Limerick Féile Division 1 title this week

MONALEEN and St Kieran's with join Claughaun as the Limerick representatives for the summer's Féile Peile na nÓg.

The trio beat out stiff competition to secure their place in the national finals of the U15 event.

With Claughaun already securing the Division 3 title, Monaleen and St Kieran's won the Division1 and 2 titles on Monday night.

The Castletroy side defeated Monagea in their final.

Division 2 also saw a City vs West decider where St Kieran's overcame the challenge of Na Piarsaigh.

Earlier this month, Claughaun beat Ballylanders, Belville Gaels and Kildimo-Pallaskenry to take the Division 3 title

The hurling equivalent gets under way locally next week with teams bidding to reach the finals in Carlow in June.

“John West Féile has nurtured a wonderful enthusiasm for our games and has been the making of many friendships and memories,” Uachtarán CLG, Jarlath Burns said.

“Generations have experienced the joy of being a part of Féile na nGael and Féile Peile na nÓg, as well as the rounders and handball competitions, and I warmly thank John West for its sponsorship.

Division 2 semi-finals: Na Piarsaigh 5-06 Athea 0-02, St. Kieran's 1-09 Newcastle West 1-01.   
Division 2 final: St. Kierans 2-07 Na Piarsaigh 1-07.
Division 1 final: Monaleen 2-08 Monagea 1-09.
