David Power's side march into tonight's decider having come though some titanic battles en route to their Croke Park showdown with Munster rivals UCC.
UL have been involved in some remarkable tussles in this year's Sigerson Cup. Power's side showed some real signs of intent early on in the competition when comprehensively dispatching of 2025 champions DCU in Dublin on a scoreline of 1-18 to 0-12.
That victory set up a quarter-final clash with Maynooth where the Limerick college looked to be dead and buried with little tie remaining on the clock.
A Daithí Hogan goal at the death forced extra-time against their Kildare college opponents on the night and it was in extra-time where Power's side started to flex their muscles, eventually running out eight-point winners, 3-16 to 0-17.
UL needed some more late goal-scoring heroics in their semi-final clash with Queen's University Belfast. Just as Hogan had done in the previous round, Kerry's Cathal Brosnan struck a beauty of an effort into the top corner late on to force extra-time in Abbotstown.
Just as they had done in the extra-time period of the quarter-final, UL showed why they deserve to be in this year's decider, eventually running out 3-23 to 2-21 winners.
Their reward for those two breathless knockout ties is a final pairing with fellow Munster college UCC tonight at GAA HQ.
UCC earned their place in this year's final following a 1-11 to 1-8 win over the University of Galway at the Maradyke.
It is a repeat of the 2023 final where UCC ran out 1-16 to 0-16 winners at the WIT Sports Campus in Waterford.
Throw-in tonight at Croke Park is 7.35pm and the match will be broadcast live on TG4.
