THE DRAW for the Sigerson and Trench Cup higher-education football competitions took place this afternoon.
Limerick's UL have been drawn away to ATU Galway in the opening round of the Sigerson Cup on January 8 at 7pm. The Castletroy based college came up short against UCC in the 2023 Sigerson decider.
The remaining seven games in round one of the Sigerson Cup sees: TUS Midlands v Maynooth University, ATU Donegal v MTU Cork, ATU Sligo v Ulster University, TUD v University of Galway, St Mary's v Queens, UCC v UCD and DCU v MTU Kerry.
Mary Immaculate College and TUS Midwest will compete in this year's Trench Cup.
Mary Immaculate College will face Trinity College, Garda College and DKIT in group one of the Trench Cup. Meanwhile TUS Midwest take on SETU Waterford and SETU Carlow in group two of the Trench Cup.
Trinity College host Mary I in round one of the Trench Cup on January 14 at 7pm, while TUS Midwest travel to SETU Waterford on January 15.
