ADARE manager Harry Gleeson was frustrated by the turnaround from his side's county final victory to the Munster SFC quarter-final.

“"We are very disappointed. We felt, we were good enough. The four or five day turnaround was unacceptable. You could see there, ten minutes into the second half that we ran out of juice. I think that comes down to not having the two weeks that Eire Óg had. It is disappointing but that's the card we were dealt with and we had to play them" said Adare senior football manager Harry Gleeson.

The Limerick champions led 0-4 to 0-2 at the break. Eire Óg produced a strong second half comeback and goals from Ikem Ugwueru and Ciaran Russell proved to be the difference.

“When they got two quick goals , it was difficult to come back from that”.

Although, Adare's Munster SFC campaign ended in disappointment. The west Limerick club can look back on 2024 with a huge sense of pride. Adare won the Fr Casey Cup for the first time since 2020. Newcastle West defeated them in county finals between 2021 and 2023.

“We are not going to let today take from what we achieved during the year. The goal was to win the county back. From that point of view, we are happy. They're a big group of competitive players, of course they are going to feel disappointed. They want to win".
