Limerick junior A football champions Castlemahon
THREE Limerick sides are involved in Munster club football semi-finals this weekend.
Limerick senior football champions Newcastle West will face Tipperary kingpins Clonmel Commercials in their Munster club senior football semi-final this Sunday at FBD Semple Stadium at 1pm.
Newcastle West retained their Limerick senior football title with a hard-earned, extra-time, county final victory over Adare earlier this month.
Their Munster semi-final opponents Clonmel earned their place in the last four stage of the provincial championship by overcoming Nemo Rangers, of Cork, in their quarter-final tie at Páirc Ui Chaoimh.
Meanwhile, in the Munster club intermediate football semi-finals, Limerick champions Na Piarsaigh will take on Ballina, of Tipperary, in Kilmallock this Sunday, also at 1pm.
Na Piarsaigh overcame Roanmore, of Waterford, in their Munster quarter-final 2-10 to 1-5 earlier this month.
The third Limerick side in Munster club football semi-final action this weekend is Castlemahon who host Kerry kingpins, Fossa, at Quaid Park, Coolyroe, on Saturday at 1pm.
The game will see Limerick's multiple All-Ireland senior hurling medal winner Seamus Flanagan come up against Kerry stars David and Paudie Clifford who are key members of the Fossa squad.
The fixture is sure to attract a bumper attendance to Coolyroe.
