LIMERICK's ladies footballers begin their LIDL National League Division 4 campaign this afternoon when they welcome Wicklow to Coolyroe.

Under new management in the form of Sean Kiely and Mike Quilligan, Limerick head into the 2024 still smarting from the All-Ireland Junior final defeat to Down in August.

That proved to be the end of the line for then manager Graham Shine but Kiely and Quilligan have retained a large proportion of last year's squad heading into this season.

Roisin Ambrose and Yvonne Lee have been named as joint captains for the year and the management duo will be hopeful of going one step further than 2023 by reaching the league decider.
