MONAGEA are into the Munster Intermediate Club Ladies Football Final following a 0-12 to 0-8 victory over Kerry's Rathmore over the weekend.

The Limerick champions reversed a three-point half time deficit to earn a win that sets up a final date with Cork's Glanmire. The Cork champions beat Tipperary's Boherlahan-Dualla in the other semi-final.

Rathmore were the dominant side early doors with the first three scores before Catriona Davis got Monagea on the scoreboard with a free on 11 minutes.

However, the Kerry side scored the next two points to go four points clear. They continued to control the first half with further efforts and Monagea replied through Ellie Woulfe to leave the score at 0-7 to 0-2 after 22 minutes.

A second Davis free and an effort from play by Deborah Murphy saw the advantage reduced to three points at the end of the first half.

There was only one team in it in the second half with Monagea on top from the moment the ball was thrown in. Davis and Rathmore's Aoife O'Callaghan traded points but that was the last time that the Kerry team would trouble the scorekeepers in the game.

Brigitte Cahill, Davis and Woulfe all hit the target to level the game for the first time by the 48 minute mark and there was only one outcome from then.

Karen O'Leary put Monagea in front for the first time and efforts from Murphy, Davis and Lilly Duggan saw the Limerick champions advance to the final.

SCORERS - MONAGEA: Catriona Davis 0-5 (0-4 frees), Ellie Woulfe and Deborah Murphy 0-2 each, Brigitte Cahill, Karen O'Leary and Lilly Duggan 0-1 each.
