UL booked their place in the 2022/23 Fitzgibbon Cup quarter finals with a 2-23 to 1-13 at Maguire's Fields. It was the second group win for the holders of following the victory over ATU Galway in their first game.
Goals from Clare's Mark Rogers and Cork's Sean Twomey, as well as 12 points from Tipperary's Gearoid O'Connor helped UL home. Limerick's Cathal O'Neill and Colin Coughlan also chipped in with six points between them.
TUS Midwest can still reach the knockout stages themselves when they welcome ATU Galway to Moylish on Thursday. A win or draw will also see them into the quarter finals.
Although it was a bitterly cold night in UL, fans flocked to Maguire's too see the action. Photographer Brendan Gleeson was there for the Limerick Leader / Limerick Live to capture all the action.
