Cappamore Show raffle committee is teaming up with East Limerick Red Cross
CAPPAMORE Show has announced that the 2025 raffle charity partner will be East Limerick Red Cross, in recognition of their longstanding assistance on show day and at numerous local events.
Show chairperson John McCarthy said: “For the past two years, we’ve proudly partnered with St Michael’s Day Care Centre, Cappamore and Circle of Friends Cancer Support Tipperary, providing them with vital funding to help cover their ongoing running costs.
"This year, we are delighted to name East Limerick Red Cross as our chosen charity partner.”

Show Secretary John Hassett praised the Red Cross for their dedication.
“They’ve always been there when needed. Their presence is not just reassuring - it’s essential. We are very grateful for their ongoing support,” he said.
John Collins, of East Limerick Red Cross, expressed his gratitude to all involved in the Cappamore Show committee for selecting them as the charity partner for their show raffle 2025.
All local branches are affiliated to the National Association of the Irish Red Cross but they have to provide their own funding for their day to day running costs, equipment and facilities.
While the East Limerick branch, based in Doon, is relatively young in terms of the Red Cross they have made great progress since their establishment and have provided an invaluable service for people.
A building project - ambulance/operations bay - in Doon when completed will provide a great training/social outlet for young and old long into the future.
The final phase involves completion of ground works and car parking on the site. Unfortunately their funding has been adversely affected by the pandemic with price increases and building costs so the support from Cappamore Show is greatly appreciated.
The annual raffle plays a crucial role in helping Cappamore Show balance the books as costs continue to rise.
Raffle coordinators Simon Earlie and John Berkery say the top prize is €1,000, generously sponsored by Lenihan’s Centra and the Cappamore Show. A second prize of €500 is sponsored by Carr Construction in Cappamore.
Tickets will be sold at local shopping centres and shops, offering the wider community a chance to support both the show and the Irish Red Cross, and on show day, Saturday, August 16.
