THE LATE Catherine Danaher is to be buried in the same graveyard as her beloved partner, murdered biker Andrew O’Donoghue.

Ms Danaher, aged 43, is understood to have passed away in her sleep on Wednesday morning.

The Cappamore lady will be laid to rest in Abington cemetery following 11.30am Mass on Saturday in Murroe church. Reposing in Meehan’s Funeral Home in Cappamore on Friday afternoon from 5.30pm to 7.30pm with removal afterwards to Murroe church.

Gardai were called to a house in Murroe around 9am on Wednesday morning. A garda spokesperson said they were investigating the circumstances of Ms Danaher’s death but “don’t suspect foul play”.

The mum-of-one was very popular, said parish priest of Murroe-Boher, Fr Loughlin Brennan.

“I hope that she is at peace now,” said Fr Brennan.

In an interview with the Limerick Leader one year after Mr O’Donoghue was was shot and killed in the Road Tramps motorcycle clubhouse on June 20, 2015, Ms Danaher described him as “her rock”.

“I actually know what a broken heart feels like. I never thought it could physically or emotionally happen but it is broken. I knew what real love was. I know that life goes on but my life actually ended the day he was killed,” said Ms Danaher.

Tragically, they will now be laid to rest in the same cemetery.

Numerous moving tributes have been posted on the Limerick Leader Facebook page.

They include: “Such a beautiful person. RIP Catherine. Thoughts and prayers are with your family at this sad time.”

“Such tragic news. She is reunited with her soulmate now. So sad.”

“Heartbreaking. May she rest in peace. She is reunited with the love of her life.”

Ms Danaher is sadly missed by her heartbroken daughter Ava, mother Eileen, brother Roger, sisters Clodagh and Sinead, aunt, uncle, nieces, nephew, cousins and a large circle of friends.
