Deaths in Limerick

The death has occurred of Mary Hallis (née McNamara) Main Street, Avoca, Co Wicklow and formerly of Limerick city on February 19, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at St Colman’s Residential Care Centre, Rathdrum.

Mary, loving wife of the late Bill, beloved sister of Frankie, Patricia, the late Breda, Joe, Gerry and Tony. She will be sadly missed by her loving brother, sister, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

Mary will be reposing at Hudson’s Funeral Home (Y14 PT80) on Sunday, February 22 from 4pm to 6pm, with removal Monday morning, February 23 at 9.40am to St Joseph’s Church, Templerainey arriving for at Mass at 10am, followed by cremation service at 1.45pm in the The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin (D6W HY98).

The death has occurred of John Hannafin, Kincora Park, Southill, Limerick and formerly of Duxtown, Rathkeale, Co Limerick on February 19 peacefully following a brief illness at Milford Care Centre. 

Beloved husband of Noreen. Dearly loved father of Marian, Patricia, Josephine, John, Joseph, Paul and Declan. Sadly missed by his son-in-law Dan, daughters-in-law Liz, Siobhan and Karen, his nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother Tom and his wife Kitty, sister Carmel, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Thompson Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Sunday, February 22 from 6pm to 7.30pm. Funeral arriving at St Mary’s Church, Rathkeale on Monday, February 23 for Requiem Mass at 12noon followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of John Stackpoole, Gortdromagowna, Moyvane, Co Kerry and formerly Lower Athea, Athea, Co Limerick, peacefully on February 19, surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, University Hospital Kerry.

Predeceased by his parents Jack and Bridie and brother Peter.

Dearly loved husband of Bernie and loving father of Ian and Thelma. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, daughter-in-law Marguerite, son-in-law Keith, his adored grandchildren Lorcan, Mia and Megan, brothers Tom and Dan, sisters Hannah and Helen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and wonderful friends.

Reposing at Finucane's Funeral Home, Moyvane, Co Kerry, (V31 W221) on Sunday afternoon, February 22 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for John in the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane, on Monday, February 23 at 11am. Interment afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane.
