RIP: Limerick deaths and funeral details, Wednesday, January 14

The death has occurred of Moira Hogg, (née Brown), Castleconnell, Co Limerick on January 11, peacefully in the presence of her family at the University Hospital Limerick.

Beloved wife of the late Bob Hogg.

Sadly missed by her loving sons Gavin and Dermot, daughter Kieranne, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Meehan’s Funeral Home Castleconnell on Sunday, January 18 from 3.30 to 5pm with removal to St Joseph’s Church Castleconnell. Requiem Mass on Monday, January 19 at 11.30am, followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 2pm.

The death has occurred of Michelle O'Connor (nee Carey) Ballingaddy Hill, Kilmallock, and formerly Ballynanty, Limerick on January 13, suddenly but very peacefully at her home.

Beloved daughter of the late Michael and Eileen Carey.

Very deeply regretted by her loving husband Anthony, daughter Melissa, brother Darren, sisters in law, extended family, cousins, relatives, kind neighbours and her many friends. 

Reposing this Friday evening, January 16, from 6pm at Daffy's Funeral Home Kilmallock, followed by evening prayers at 7.30pm. Removal to arrive Saturday for 1pm Requiem Mass at St Mary's Church, Ballingaddy followed by Cremation Service at Shannon Crematorium at 4pm.

The death has occurred of Veronica (Vera) Walpole, The Spa, Castleconnell, Limerick and formerly of Priestfield Drive, South Circular Road, Dublin 8, peacefully on January 11 surrounded by her family and in the excellent care of the staff of University Hospital Limerick.

Beloved wife of the late Reginald and mother of Robert and Linda. Deeply regretted by her daughter-in-law, Anne and son-in-law Alan. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Garreth, Stephen, Brian, Anne-Marie, Carrie and Debbie, great-grandchildren, nephews, niece, relatives and dear friends.

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Philpott, Artane, Dublin and formerly of Rathbane, Limerick city on January 13, peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of the late Laura and loving father to Noel, Pat and Deirdre.

Beloved husband of Sheena. Dearly loved father of Aoife, Róisin and Michael and cherished grandfather of Bowie. Much loved son of Bridget and the late Michael. Sadly missed by his mother and father–in-law Rena and John Purcell and his many relatives and friends. 

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Friday, January 16 from 5.30pm to 7pm. Funeral arriving at St John’s Cathedral, Cathedral Place on Saturday, January 17 for Requiem Mass at 12noon followed by private cremation.

The death has occurred of Helen Costello (Nee O'Callaghan) Cappagh, Rathkeale Co Limerick, and formerly of Gooseberry Hill, Newmarket, Co Cork, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and in the excellent care of the Palliative Care team on January 14.

Helen is lovingly remembered by her husband John, daughter Marian, son in law Peter Conway, her adored grandsons Tommie and Gearóid, sisters Mary Morgan (Newmarket), and Catherine Flynn (Kanturk) and brother Tadhg O'Callaghan (Gooseberry Hill), brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Helen is predeceased by her brothers Michael and John and her sisters Margaret (McAuliffe), Joan (Barrow) and Sheila (Clifford). 

Reposing at McCarthy's Funeral Home (P56T624) North Rd, Dromcollogher, Co Limerick on Sunday, January 18, from 5pm to 7pm, followed by removal to St Bartholomew's Church, Dromcollogher. Requiem Mass on Monday, January 19 at 12noon followed by burial in local cemetery.

The death has occurred of Dave Corbett late of Brickfield, Effin, Co Limerick, Raheen and Mungret, Limerick peacefully on January 13 in University Hospital Limerick surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary sisters Sheila (Lyons) and Margaret, brothers Tommy Pat and Jim. 

Sadly missed by his beloved wife Teresa, daughters Vanessa, Olga and Demelza, son David, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, sisters Kathleen (Byrnes) and Mary (O'Mahony), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces nephews, his great friend and neighbour Carmel, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

Reposing in O'Malley's Funeral Home, Newline, Charleville (P56T184) on this Friday evening, January 16 from 6pm to 7.30pm. Arriving to Our Lady Queen Of Peace Church, Effin, Co Limerick on Saturday, January 17 for 11am requiem Mass. Burial afterwards to local cemetery.
