The death has occurred of Christopher Smith Cowles of Houston, Texas and formerly of Limerick city. 

He is survived by his wife, Delia, his daughters Helen and Christine, sons-in-law Milton and Mauricio, brother Alan, sisters-in-law Marie Clancy O’Flaherty, Teresa Clancy Cierans, Ann Matson O’Gorman, Sally Cowles and Linda Cowles, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held in Houston on January 24.

The death has occurred of Clora Quinlan née Connaughton of Shankill, Dublin and formerly of Limerick.

Clora passed away, peacefully, after a long challenge borne with her trademark humour and fortitude, on Sunday, January 11.

Beloved wife of the late Sean, adored mother of Mark, Denise, Rory, Pearse and Shauna. An irreplaceable loss for her children, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Patrick O’Donovan & Son Funeral Home, Sallynoggin A96 V962 on Friday, January 16 from 4pm until 6pm with prayers at 5.30pm. All welcome.

Funeral Requiem Mass on Saturday, January 17 at 11am in St Anne’s Church, Shankill, followed by cremation at St Michael’s Cremation Services Chapel within the Funeral Home arriving for 12.45pm cremation service.

The death has occurred of Mary Scanlon of 8 Corbry Estate, Glin and formerly of Tenekilla, Ballyhahill.

Mary passed away, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Camilla Ward St Ita's Nursing Home, Newcastle West, on Wednesday, January 14.

Mary is predeceased by her parents Maurice and Catherine Mary Scanlon and her sister Joan.

Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her cousin PJ Nolan and family, Moyvane, Co Kerry, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing in The Church of the Visitation, Ballyhahill (V94 HN36) on Friday, January 16 from 5pm to 6.30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17 at 1pm and Mary will be laid to rest in Kilfergus Cemetery, Glin.
