Deaths in Limerick: Tuesday, March 12, 2024

The death has occurred of Bridget Ryan, Knocksentry, Lisnagry, Co. Limerick and ex-nursing staff St. Joseph’s Hospital. 

20th December 2025, peacefully at the University Hospital Limerick. 

Deeply regretted by her relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her home Monday 22nd December from 5 to 7 p.m. Arrival to St. Patrick’s Church Ahane on Tuesday 23rd for Requiem Mass at 2 p.m. followed by Cremation at 4 p.m. in Shannon Crematorium.

No flowers please donations if desired to Milford hospice.

The death has occurred of Rodgie Maher, Toomaline, Doon, Co. Limerick. 

December 20th 2025, died peacefully at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his parents John & Johanna.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Helen, son Tommy, daughters Joanne and Beanie, brothers Eamonn, Jimmy, Niall and Sean, sisters Peggy Carr, Kate Meradith, Siobhan O’Connell and Mary Maher O’Brien, grandchildren Cara, Jack, Ciarán, Sean, Finley and Edie, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Uncle Con, Aunt Teresa, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Rest in peace.

Reposing at Whites Funeral Home Doon (V94 D450) Monday evening (22nd December) from 5.30 pm until 7.30 pm. Arriving in St. Patrick’s Church Doon Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11.30 am with burial afterwards in Doon cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.

The death has occurred of Daniel J (Danny) Leahy, Ballycommane, Tournafulla, Co. Limerick on the 20/12/2025 peacefully at home in the care of his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, brother, sisters and nephews. 

Survived by daughters Eileen(Reidy), Alice and Betty(Kelly), sons Danny and Patrick, sons-in-law Terence and Davy. daughter-in-law Veronica, grandchildren Brendan, Declan, Gerard, Patrick, Sinéad,Yvonne, Michelle and Fiona and great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces,relatives and friends. RIP.

Reposing at St.Patrick's Church, Tournafulla on Monday the 22nd of December from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem mass on Tuesday the 23rd at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Predeceased by her husband John and her father Tommy.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters Lisa and Tara, son Sean, mother Bridie, grandchild Nathan, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers Tom, Joe, Pat, Martin, Kieran and Marcus, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.
