Tributes are being paid this week after the death of Lisa Marie Morey, mother of Nicole Morey who was killed after being attacked by her own dogs in Fedamore, Co Limerick, last year.

An RIP.ie death notice says Lisa died "peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family."

She is predeceased by daughter Nicole Lisa Marie, mother Marie, sister Barbara, brother Jeremiah and nephew Jeffrey. Her death comes just over 18 months after her daughter Nicole's tragic death which made international headlines and prompted a change in the law around restricted dog breeds in Ireland, including the XL Bully breed.

Lisa is "very deeply regretted by partner Joe, sons Jackson, Bradley, Josie and Alex, daughter Jolene, father Jeremiah, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and neighbours."

Lisa's daughter Jolene posted about her loss on social media. She wrote: "Nicole has you now mammy, mind each other. I love u so much I’m so hurt mammy."

A second tribute read: "I only knew Lisa from serving her at Luigis, chicken nuggets for the little fella and her cheese burger, made so the onions could be scraped off she’d say, she didn’t like them but liked the flavour. She always had a smile and a kind word when leaving, she was a character without a doubt. I will miss seeing her and will fondly remember Lisa as the lovable person she was."

Another person added: "Deepest condolences to Lisa's children, partner Joe and extended family. I will keep ye in my prayers. May Lisa rest easy with Nicole and the angels. What a character she was. Anytime I'd meet Lisa I'd come away laughing. Lisa will mind ye all from heaven."

A fourth wrote: "I knew Lisa in her teenage years hanging around Southill. She was great fun to be around. May she rest in peace."
