Deaths in Limerick: Monday, October 14, 2024

The death has occurred of Ann Quinn (née Lynch), Westfield Park, North Circular Road, Limerick and formerly of Flood Street, Pennywell.

September 7th 2025 peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family.

Ann will be forever loved and very sadly missed by her loving husband Seamus, daughters Maria, Sinead and Andrea, sons-in-law Peter, Jack and David, her adored grandchildren Brian, Caoimhe, Darragh and Shay, sisters Roseleen, Marion, Ena and Patricia, brothers Michael, Martin and Paul, extended family, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her loving parents Mary and William, her brother Joseph and twin sister Delores.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Wednesday (10th September) from 5pm to 6.30pm. Funeral arriving at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ennis Road on Thursday (11th September) for Requiem Mass at 1pm followed by cremation service in Shannon Crematorium at 3pm.

Requiem Mass Wednesday, September 10th, at 11am, streamed live here funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of William (Billy) O’Donnell, Kilconlea Upper, Abbeyfeale and formerly of Upper Purt, Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, 8th September 2025. 

Billy is predeceased by his loving wife Marie and son Michael. Billy is very sadly missed by his daughters Joan, Magg and Celine, sons P.J., Liam and Kevin, brother Patsy, sons-in-law Pat and Martin, daughters-in-law Susan, Ita and Bríd, brother-in-law Bernard, grandchildren, nephews, niece, all his other relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Harnett’s Funeral Home, The Square, Abbeyfeale (V94 AK44) on Wednesday, 10th September from 5.30 p.m. until 8.00 p.m. Requiem Mass for Billy will be celebrated in The Church of The Assumption Abbeyfeale on Thursday, 11th September at 11.00 a.m. Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the following link: https://churchmedia.tv/church-of-the-assumption-abbeyfeale Interment afterwards in Reilig Íde Naofa, Abbeyfeale.

Peacefully at St. Joseph's Care Home, Trim, Co. Meath surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Basil, her son Thomas, her parents Thomas and Brigid and her siblings. Dear mother of Basil, Marina, Patrick, Martin, Peter and Barbara. Sadly missed by her family, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and her many good neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Ryan's Funeral Home, Ashbourne (A84CX52) on Thursday evening from 5pm with removal at 6:45pm to The Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Rathfeigh (C15 R584). Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Nora (Ciss) Coll (née Keyes), Fanningstown, Crecora, Co. Limerick.

Peacefully on September 7th at the University Hospital Limerick, in her 96th year, surrounded by her loving family.

Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family Robert, Emily (Ryan), Nora, Teresa (Riordan) and Patrick, their late father Patrick, sons-in-law Timmy and George, daughters-in-law Martina, her much loved grandchildren Catherine, Robert, Sara, Louise, Leah, John, Nigel, Jason, Brendan and Ruth, great-grandchildren Colin, Cadhla, Cooper, Farrah, Elizabeth, Julia, Patrick, Mathew, Ruedi, Faye, Ely and Oisín, brothers Ned, John and Pat, sisters Mary Heffernan (Adare) and Eileen Quinn (Manister), nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing this Wednesday Evening (September 10th) at St Peter & Paul’s Church, Crecora from 6pm with evening prayers at 7:30pm.

Nora’s funeral mass will take place on Thursday (September 11th) at 11:30am with burial afterwards in Crecora Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Tom Carmody, Ballycahill, Knocklong, Co. Limerick and Late Of Limerick County Council.

Tom passed away peacefully at his residence 6th September 2025.

Predeceased by his mother Peg and father Joe.

Tom is sadly missed by his loving wife Maria, daughter Majella, son John, brothers Pat and Joe, sisters Margaret, Geraldine, Helen, Catherine, son in law Eoin, daughter in law Róisín, grandchildren Tiernan and Sinéad, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, family relatives and a wide circle of many friends.

Tom will be reposing at Davern's funeral home, Hospital, Co. Limerick (V35XV96), this Wednesday evening (10th September) from 5.30pm until 7pm.

Funeral cortége arriving at St. John The Baptist Church, Hospital, Thursday morning (11th September) for requiem mass at 11.30am, Tom will be laid to rest afterwards in Hospital cemetery. Tom's funeral Mass will be here
