It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Anna O'Farrell, Quinn's Cottages, Lord Edward street, Limerick and late of Ballynanty.

On July 4th 2025, peacefully, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her parents Mary and Patrick Hayes, brothers Paddy, Dessie, Tom, sisters Ita, Sheila, Isa and Buddy.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken daughters and son Alice, Mary, Dan and Lisa, grandchildren Louise, John Richard, John, Cian, and Emma,

Mass of the angels will be held in S.S Peter & Paul's Church Kilmallock on Wednesday 9th of July at 12noon. Burial immediately afterwards to New Cemetery Bruree.

The death has occurred of John Howard, Camberwell, London and formerly of Old Limerick Road, Charleville, Co Cork.

On Sunday 22nd June, 2025, John passed peacefully from this life, following a courageous battle with illness.

Predeceased by his parents Liam and Eithne and brother Paddy. John is survived by his loving wife Ann (nee Roughan) and son Liam, sister Eithne (Reddy), brother Liam, nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of friends.

Interment afterwards in Rath Cemetery, Tralee.

Beloved husband and cherished father, Michael Counihan, passed away on 5th July, peacefully at the Mater Private Hospital, surrounded by his family, late of Adare, Co. Limerick and Faha, Killarney, Co. Kerry.

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Mary Ellen and baby son Liam.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Maria (O’Shea) his daughters Niamh (Hyde), Aoife (Counihan Murphy) and Muireann (McCormick); his sons-in-law Michael, Francis and Brian; his grandchildren Michael John, Síomha, Eilín, Neil, Cúán, Seán and Baby Fiadh; sister, Breda; brothers, Donal, Gerard (John) and Jim, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, former colleagues at the ESB, friends of Adare Manor Golf Club and Lantern Bridge Club.

The family would like to thank Dr. Pat Morrissey and all at the Adare Medical Centre; the doctors, nurses and all the staff of the Mater Private and Public Hospitals, including Dr. Waseem Darwish, Prof. Daniel Cagney, Mr. Gregory Nason and Ms. Ailín Rogers; Dr. Liam Casserly and his team in UHL, and the team at Collins Pharmacy Adare for all the care and support they gave to Michael.

Reposing this Wednesday evening (July 9th) at the Holy Trinity Abbey Church, Adare from 6pm with evening prayers at 7:30pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday (July 10th) at 11:30am, after which Michael will be laid to rest in St. Nicholas’ Cemetery, Adare.

Beloved wife of Flan and dearly loved mother of Claire, Tara, Caroline, Flan, Dominic, and Brian. Sadly missed by her son-in-law Colin, daughter-in-law Jackie, her adored grandchildren Tommy, Rory, Rachel, and Aaron, brothers James and Tony, sisters Kathleen, Marie, Anne, and Rosie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, Derek Duhig, and a wide circle of friends.

Gretta lived quietly but gave deeply — her kindness, strength, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
