RIP: Death notices and funeral details for Limerick on Thursday, June 12

The death has occurred of Geraldine Harty of Church Road, Knocklong, Limerick.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Harty who passed away, peacefully, under the exceptional care of the staff of St Vincent’s, Lisnagry, Co Limerick, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, June 11.

Predeceased by her parents Mary and Paddy, and brother Larry. Beloved sister of Nora (Knocklong), Betty (Sheehy, Emly), Helen (O’Donnell, Galbally), Brigid (Loveday, London), Kathleen (McGrath, Cappamore), Ann (Spellman, German), Billy (Knocklong), Pa (London), Eamonn (Knocklong), Stephen (London), and Jack (Dublin). Sadly missed by her loving family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, her dear friend Nancy, relatives, and the staff of St Vincents, Lisnagry, and her fellow residents.

Lying in repose at St Joseph’s Church, Knocklong, on Friday, June 13 from 5pm to 7pm followed by Evening Prayer. Requiem Mass on Saturday, June 14 in St Joseph’s Church, Knocklong at 2.30pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of William (Billy) O'Gorman of Knockfierna and Ballyelan, Ballingarry, Limerick.

Passed away, peacefully, at Nenagh Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, June 11.

Predeceased by his parents Catherine and Tom and sister Bríd.

Deeply regretted by his brother Tommy, sister-in-law Ann, nieces Triona and Jennifer, nephew Michael, brother-in-law Paddy, relatives, great neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at St Joseph's Church, Granagh this Saturday June 14 from 11.30am followed by Requiem Mass at 12.15pm. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

The death has occurred of James (Jim) O'Keefe of Ballyagran, Limerick.

Passed away, peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, June 11.

Predeceased by his mother Josephine (Josie) O’Keeffe, (née Treacy), father Thomas Rylands, Rathkeale, Co Limerick and brother Tim, Clonsilla, Dublin.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, son James, his daughters, Rosie, Joanne, Evelyn, Karen, Regina, Irene, Fiona and Samantha, daughter-in-law Christina, sons-in-law, sister Ann, brothers Tom, Paddy and Johnny, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Daffys Funeral Home, Ballyagran, Co Limerick (V35 CC67) this Sunday evening, June 15 from 5.30pm to 7pm. Arriving on Monday, June 16 to St Michael's Church, Ballyagran for 11am Requiem Mass followed by burial afterwards in Holy Cross Cemetery, Rathgoggan South, Charleville, Co. Cork.

The death has occurred of Mary Rita Butler née Burke of West Singland Road, Garryowen, Limerick.

Passed away, peacefully, in the tender care of the staff, at St Camillus Hospital, on Wednesday, June 11.

Dearly loved mother of Siobhan, Geri, Liam and Eoin. Sadly missed by her loving sons-in-law Jack and Terry, daughters-in-law Mary and Susie, her cherished 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Maureen, cousin Mona, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Friday, June 13 from 5pm to 6.30pm. Funeral arriving at St John’s Cathedral, Cathedral Place on Saturday, June 14 for Requiem Mass at 10.00am followed by burial in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Mary Ellis née Cahill of Season Park, Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow and formerly of Limerick City.

Passed away, peacefully, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her devoted family, on Thursday, June 12.

Beloved wife of the late John Ellis. Remembered with love by her children, John, Karen, Amanda and Majella, sons-in-law Andrew, Joe and Billy, daughter-in-law Eilish, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Carla, Kim, Jodie, Keri, Siobhan, Aisling, Mollie, Megan and Karen, Michael, great grandchildren Oliver, Leo, Poppy, Fíbí, Gracie and Croía, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Mark Kinsella Funeral Home, Main Street, Newtownmountkennedy (A63 X456) from 5pm until 7pm on Friday evening, June 13. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, June 14 at 11am in St Joseph's Church, Newtownmountkennedy after which Mary will be laid to rest with John in Kimurray Cemetery.

Mary’s family would like to thank most sincerely all the wonderful staff at Manor Homecare, Newtownmountkennedy Primary Care (especially Liz), Wicklow Hospice Palliative Care and North Wicklow Medical Centre for their exceptional care of Mary during her illness.

Passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Milford Care Centre, on Wednesday, June 11.

Very deeply regretted by his wife Fran, daughters Susan and Freda, grandchildren Leon, Elliot, Aoife, Taryn and Charlotte, son-in-law Justin, sister Norah, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Saturday, June 14, from 12pm to 1pm, followed by burial in Ss Peter and Paul’s Churchyard Crecora.
