RIP: Limerick deaths and funeral details, Tuesday, May 20

The death has occurred of John Riordan of Ballymahon, Co. Longford and formerly of Caherguillamore, Meanus, Co. Limerick.

John passed peacefully on May 19, after a short illness at the Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Beloved son of the late John Joe. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving mother Peggy (nee Burke), siblings, children, uncles, aunts, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and his friends.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing this Wednesday evening, May 21, at Daffy’s Funeral Home, Croom from 6pm to 7pm.

John’s funeral mass will take place at St. Mary’s Church Meanus on Thursday, May 22, at 11am with cremation service at Shannon Crematorium at 1pm.

Family Flowers Only Please. House Private Please.


The death has occurred of Dr. Sarah Mitchell of Castletroy, Limerick and Bristol, UK.

Late Head of Maths Department, University of Limerick.

On May 17, peacefully at Milford Care Centre.

Beloved daughter of Pat and the late Sandy. Dearly loved sister of Andrew and James. Sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Stephanie and Kirsty, nephews Dylan, Lucas. Harry and Zack, nieces Ella and Erin, extended family, her colleagues in the University of Limerick and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Funeral service will take place in Shannon Crematorium on May 30 at 2pm.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to Milford Care Centre.
