The death has occurred of Eileen Whelan (née O'Regan) St. Mary's Park, Limerick City, Limerick

St. Mary's Park, Limerick

On May 21st 2024, unexpectedly but peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Deeply missed by her daughter Ann, grandchildren Stacey, Michael & Darren, great grandchildren Leon, Megan, Charlie, Aaron, Kayleigh and Callum, brother Thomas, sister Kathleen, brother-in-law Tommy, sister-in-law Patricia, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

May She Rest in Peace

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Thursday, May 23rd, from 3.00pm to 4.30pm, followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Athlunkard Street.

Requiem Mass on Friday, May 24th, at 11am, funeral afterwards to Shannon Crematorium for Service at 1pm.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland

Eileen's Funeral Cortége will pass the family residence after Mass en route to Crematorium.

WALL-MURPHY Maura (Cabinteely, Dublin 18 and formerly of Limerick) Unexpectedly, at her home, on 6th March 2024. Predeceased by her husband Denstone Murphy. Much loved sister of the late Gobnait Kelly.

Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Rosemary Kemp, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Rest in Peace

The Interment of her Ashes (from her Funeral which took place in March) will take place this Saturday, May 25th, at 11am at Glenstal Abbey.

The death has occurred of Cornelius (Con) Kirby, Limerick City, Limerick

89 Hyde Road, Prospect, Limerick and late of Sycamore Avenue, Rathbane, Limerick

On May 22nd 2024, suddenly, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply missed by his wife Mary, children Martin, Gary, Michael, Lisa and Mary, grandchildren, great grandchild, brothers, sisters, other relatives, his many friends in Bundoran Donegal and Limerick and neighbours.

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Friday, May 24th, from 3.00pm to 4.30pm, followed by removal to St. Saviour’s Dominican Church, Glentworth Street.

Requiem Mass on Saturday, May 25th, at 10am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery (extension)

Con’s Funeral Cortége will pass the family residence after Mass enroute to the Cemetery.

Con’s Family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to his G.P. Doctor Gerard O’Brien and the Doctors, Nurses and the staff of University Hospital Limerick for their exceptional care shown to Con throughout his illness.

Bridget Keane, Pilgrim Hill, Kilmorna, Listowel, Co. Kerry and Athea, Co. Limerick, passed away peacefully, following a brief illness, in the care of the doctors, nurses and staff at University Hospital Cork, with her family by her side, on Monday, 20th May 2024.

Bridget is very sadly missed by her loving son Josh, partner Thomas, parents Jer and Mary, sister Joanne, aunts, uncles, cousins, all her other relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her parents’ residence, Pilgrim Hill, Kilmorna (V31 VP79) on Thursday, 23rd May, from 4.00 p.m. until 8.00 p.m.

Traffic management system will be in place and funeral traffic will approach from the Athea/Knockanure Road. Funeral cortège will depart Pilgrim Hill on Friday, 24th May, at 12.30 p.m. to St. Bartholomew’s Church, Athea to arrive for Requiem Mass at 1.00 p.m.

Requiem Mass will be live streamed on: https://www.churchservices.tv/athea. Interment afterwards in Holy Cross Cemetery, Athea.

The death has occurred of Peter BOLAND, Brookville Avenue, Clareview, Limerick

Brookville Avenue, Clareview and formerly of Thomondgate, Limerick.

Peter passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at University Hospital Limerick, on 22nd May 2024.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Maureen, children Peter, Stephen, Elaine, Michael & Anita, adored grandchildren Emma, Grace, Anna, David, Ewan, Kevin, Harry & Bella, daughters-in-law Gillian, Kerry & Dorothy, sons-in-law Neil & Martin, brothers Gerry, Brian & Fr. John, extended family & friends.

Pre-deceased by his brother Fr. Michael.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Friday, 24th May, from 4.30pm to 6pm. Funeral arriving at Christ the King Church, Caherdavin on Saturday, 25th May, for Requiem Mass at 10:30am. Burial afterwards in Castlemungret Cemetery, Mungret.

Mass will be streamed.
