The death has occurred of Joe Coughlan of 20 John Paul Terrace, Broadford, Limerick / Feohanagh, Limerick 

Joe passed away peacefully after a short illness on February 16, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his family - Erin, Siobhan, Kieran, Kirby, Callum, Jamie, Ruby, Sienna, Rocco, Teddy and Millie, brothers William, James and Michael, sisters Mary and Noreen Lenihan, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Sunday, February 18 from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Monday, February 19 to the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, Broadford for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm. Burial afterwards in Aglish Cemetery.


The death has occurred of John Heagney of Colbert Ave., Janesboro, Limerick / Farranshone, Limerick and late of Rank’s Flour Mills.

John passed away peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, on February 16. Beloved husband of the late Josephine.

Sadly missed by his loving family, sons Tom, Ger & Sean, daughters Celine & Marie, grandchildren Jamie, Kate, Luca & Evie, daughters-in-law Clodagh & Anita, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Tuesday, February 20, from 5pm to 6:30pm.

Funeral arriving to St. Munchin’s Church, Clancy Strand on Wednesday, February 21, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Ann Lane (née Foley) of Donoughmore, Limerick

On February 16, peacefully at Good Counsel Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her husband Michael.

Very deeply regretted by her daughters Betty and Marie, sons Ger, Micheàl and Anthony, sister Mary Hogan, cousin Sr. Margaret Mary, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sister-in-law, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at St. Patrick’s Church, Donoughmore. Sunday, February 18, from 5pm to 7pm.

Requiem Mass Monday February 19, at 1.30pm with funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery. 


The death has occurred of Pius O'Connell

Fermoy Taxi Service, Fermoy, Cork / Ardpatrick, Limerick

Pius passed away suddenly on February 16 at Cork University Hospital Cork.

Beloved son of the late Colman and Margaret, dear brother of Tom, Pat, Anne, Kathleen, Kieran and Mary, father of Robert, Patrick, Colman, Kate and Breda. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, his loyal colleagues at Fermoy Taxi Service, neigbours and many friends.

The death has occurred of Alice O'Donnell (née Dawson) of Upper Carey's Road, Limerick City, Limerick.

On February 16 2024, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her husband Vincent, sons Paul, Vincent and Mark , daughter Teresa.

Very deeply regretted by her daughters Betty, Marian, Pat, Deirdre, Sandra, and Ruth, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

The death has occurred of Marion Sloyan of Highfield, Ennis Road, Limerick City, Limerick / Cork City, Cork

Marion Sloyan (née O’Driscoll) Highfield, Ennis Road, Limerick and formerly of Gardiner’s Hill, Cork and late of Telecom Eireann.

Marion passed away on February 16, peacefully at Carrigoran House Nursing Home.

Beloved wife of the late Bill. Dearly loved mother of Órla, Niamh (Corbett), Deirdre (O’Malley), Fidelma (Collery), Sinéad (Finucane) and Liam. Sadly missed by Orla’s partner Colm, her sons-in-law Shane, Brendan, James and John, daughter-in-law Rocio, cherished grandchildren Liam, Sarah, Eoin, Leah, Hugh, Alison, Aisling, great granddaughter Isabella, sisters Eileen (O’Connell) and Siobhan (Prendergast), brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. Predeceased by her brothers Denis and Finian.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Tuesday (February 20) from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by removal to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ennis Road.

Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday (February 21) at 11am followed by cremation service in Shannon Crematorium at 1pm.
