Deaths in Limerick: Sunday, February 4, 2024

The death has occurred of Dan Curtin Dromore North, Dromahane, Cork, P51 C2R9, and Tournafulla, Co Limerick and formerly of Dairygold.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Dan following a road traffic accident, on February 2nd 2024, dearly loved husband of Marion (née O’Shea) and adored dad to Eoin, Ruth and Brian.

Eldest son of the late Sean and Eily Curtin and much loved brother of Maurice, Breda (Walsh), Miriam (Brennan) and Gerard. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife, children, brothers, sisters, aunt Noreen, uncle Larry, mother-in-law Lil O’Shea, sisters-in-law Teresa, Carmel and Jill, brothers-in-law Eric, Michael, Phil and Jerome, nephews, nieces, godchildren, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May He Rest In Peace.

The death has occurred of John Keane, Monaleen Park, Castletroy, Limerick. Formerly of Lansdowne Park Ennis Road. Late UL Bohemians R.F.C., 3rd Field Engineers, F.C.A. and FAS.

February 3rd 2024, peacefully, under the wonderful care of the staff at University Hospital Limerick. Dearly loved father of David, Geoffrey, Katherine and the late Douglas. Sadly missed by loving his sister Ann (Fitzgibbon), son-in-law Jonathan, daughter-in-law Loreto, his adored grandchildren Rachel, Jack, Conor and Daisy, nephews, nieces, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Predeceased by his wife Doris, brothers Frank and Joe, sisters Peggy and Maureen.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompson's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, on Tuesday (6th February) from 5pm to 6.30pm. Arriving at Shannon Crematorium on Wednesday (7th February) for Funeral Service at 12 noon.

The death has occurred of Neddy Doody, Ballycommane, Tournafulla, Co. Limerick.

Passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, 3rd February 2024.

Neddy, cherished husband of the late Joan, is very sadly missed by his loving sons Gerard, Aidan, Donal and Eamon, daughter Margaret (Sheehan), son-in-law Keith, daughters-in-law Catherine and Marie, Donal’s partner Elaine and Aidan’s partner Bernie, grandchildren, sister Kathleen Cooney (Limerick), brother-in-law Jack Riordan (Clare), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest In Peace

Reposing at his residence (V42 X082) on Monday, 5th February from 4.00 p.m. until 7.00 p.m.

Funeral cortège will depart Neddy’s residence on Tuesday, 6th February, at 10.30 a.m. on route to St. Patrick’s Church, Tournafulla to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Geraldine Costelloe (née McNamara), Claremont Estate, Navan, Meath / Clarina, Limerick.

Peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Navan, surrounded by her loving family and caring staff.

Predeceased by her mother Mary, brothers Noel and Patrick.

Geraldine will be very sadly missed by her loving husband Don, daughters Tara, Debbie, Lisa, Aimee, sons Ciarán and Gerard, grandchildren Ben and Emily, partners Avril, JP, Jason, José, sister Ann, brother Mike, sisters in law Lily, Anne, Eileen, Nancy, brothers in law Chris and Harry, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at St. Joseph's Chapel of Rest, Old Johnstown, Navan (C15 C425), on Monday from 6pm to 8pm. Arriving to St Mary's Church, Navan, on Tuesday morning for Funeral Mass at 10am which can be viewed live on https://www.navanparish.ie/livestream. Cremation afterwards at 12.45pm in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross, Dublin (D6W HY98).
