The death has occurred of Mary Barrett (née Hedderman)

Of Little Gerald Griffin Street, Limerick City and formerly of Garryowen

On December 30, 2023, peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family.

Cherished mother of Stephen, Michelle, Matthew and Rachel and their father Michael.

Sadly missed by her loving family, adored grandchildren Chloe, Joshua, Mia, Fionn, Cillian and Willow, daughters-in-law Mary and Rachael, sons-in-law Denis and Stefan, brothers Francis, John, Michael and Brendan, sisters Rita and Fiona, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives, friends and her beloved dog Daisy.

May she rest in peace

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Wednesday, January 3, from 3.30pm to 5.00pm.

Funeral will arrive on Thursday, January 4, at St. John's Cathedral, Cathedral Place, for 11am requiem Mass, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (extension) cemetery.

House private, please.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association.

The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) Mulqueen

Of Garryowen, and Ex Geraldines AFC.

On January 1, 2024, peacefully, at Roseville Nursing Home.

Predeceased by his wife Lily.

Very deeply regretted by his son Aidan, daughters Deirdre, Valerie and Laura, grandchildren Séan, Robbie, Patrick, Amy and Libby, great granddaughter Georgia, sons-in-law, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Removal from his residence in Singland Crescent, on Thursday, January 4, at 12.30pm

Funeral will arrive on Thursday, January 4, at St John's Cathedral, Cathedral Place, for 1pm requiem Mass, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Peggie O'Connell (née O'Connor)

Of Collinstown, Bruff

Passed away peacefully at home in her 92nd year surrounded by her loving family on the December 30, 2023.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Tony, daughters Margaret, Frances and Kay, sons Martin and Jim, sister Ann, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Peggie will repose this Tuesday evening, January 2, at SS Peter and Paul's Church, Bruff from 5.30pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, January 3, at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Eileen Thompson (née Brouder)

From London and formerly of Arranagh, Monagea. Eileen died on December 30, 2023 in London. Daughter of the late Dan and Mary Brouder. Deeply regretted by her son Jimmy, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Cremation will take place in London.

Memorial Mass and burial of ashes will take place in Monagea at a later date.

The death has occurred of Johnny Twomey

Of Dromlohan, Manister and Croom

On January 1, 2024, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home after a long illness.

Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife Marian (Née Chawke), daughter Áine, sons Seán and Brian, brother Michael, son-in-law Jack, grandchildren, Fíorna, Oisín, Fionán, Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours, and large circle of friends.

Rest in peace

Reposing on Wednesday evening in St Michael's Church, Manister, V35 P960, from 5:30pm with evening prayers at 7:30pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12noon, with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to The Parkinson's Association, Limerick branch.
